The KDHE Processing Deadlines for Fiscal Year 2022 have been updated. Once this version has been updated in the KEES Repository under Other Helpful Information the link will be provided in the KEES Dispatch.
Currently if staff deny the month of application, then rescind using 1st Month Ineligible, and subsequently deny that month as well, therefore requiring a second rescind using 2nd Month Ineligible, KEES will throw a 1700 Error when EDBC is next run.
To prevent this issue, staff should run EDBC for both the month of application, and the month following the month of application without saving if they have reason to believe both months will end up Denied. If both months will be Denied, then staff should Accept and Save EDBC for the month of application, and then rescind using 2nd Month Ineligible following the steps as outlined below in the KEES User Manual.

This note from the User Manual should be ignored until the defect has been fixed:
NOTE: If the user is unsure if the month following the month of application should be denied, complete Denying the First Month of Benefits, then run EDBC for the month following the month of application. If the consumer is denied for the month following the month of application, use the steps for Denying the First & Second Months of Benefits.
