We are aware that Organization SSP Accounts cannot submit a new medical application when a linked case has a review due. If a consumer/organization calls in to report this issue, submit a KEES Help Desk ticket on their behalf.
We are aware of a few e-Apps not linking to the program block after registration. The error is causing the App Number to be missing on the Medical Person History page. Potential effects of this issue include but are not limited to inaccurate medical reports, improper Casebank association, and incorrect Medical Category fields. If you encounter this issue, please submit a ticket to the KEES Help Desk.
When the Eligibility Specialist has checked EATSS and learns the consumer has a claim number ending with an ‘M’ and has a Z99 listed in the Part A field, the ES should be adding the Medicare Expense record to KEES at the same time. Once the record has been added and gone through the TBQ process, that is when the ES should send the request to the KEES Help Desk to push the effective date.
The KEES Help Desk should NOT be the entity adding the Medicare Expense record and waiting for the TBQ update so we can add the Z99. This process should already be done so Help Desk only has to add the Z99. If the ES has questions, they can look in their SharePoint resource at job aides.

The KanCare Proactive Communication Schedule is available on the KEES Repository under KDHE Communications. The calendar was updated on 03/17/2025 to include the new schedule to account for KanCare reviews being sent out on an earlier schedule. Calendar is available from 09/2024 through 08/2025.
