Medical Programs

Did you know the system's team is working hard on a design to incorporate AVS into KEES, but we need your help to make the conversion from manual AVS to batch AVS go smoothly.

 

Effective immediately, we need all workers to start adding the full bank name and complete address of the Financial Institution into the resource records at review, at application or when making changes to the case.  Your help will reduce the number of cases that must be manually researched once AVS goes live.

 

Below is an example of an incomplete resource record that will need additional information added. As you can see, the address is missing from this example. We will also have issues if you abbreviate a bank name in the Financial Institution Name field, such as Cap Fed instead of Capitol Federal, CoreFirst instead of CoreFirst Bank & Trust.

 

 

Going forward, please use the full name and address of the financial institution as seen on the current AVS results imaged to Perceptive Content, or on the most current bank statements received.

 

This is an example of what is expected to be entered on all financial resource records.

 

PM2025-06-01 CHIP Premium Penalty Removal Policy

PM2025-06-01 CHIP Premium Penalty Removal policy goes into effect 06/01/2025 and is removing CHIP penalty periods for consumers. Staff should see this memo by Monday 06/02/2025. The change in KEES will not be effective until 06/28/2025, so staff need to use  Premium Delinquency WA 237234 from 06/01/2025 – 06/28/2025 when there are CHIP penalty periods for cases at review.  

 

KEES User Manual

Due to various technical reasons, we are unable to update the User Manual with any information at this time. Any updates to the User Manual such as WAs or Business Processes, will be communicated via dispatch until the issue is resolved.

KanCare Proactive Communications Schedule

The KanCare Proactive Communication Schedule is available on the KEES Repository under KDHE Communications. The calendar was updated on 03/17/2025 to include the new schedule to account for KanCare reviews being sent out on an earlier schedule. Calendar is available from 09/2024 through 08/2025.
