Both DCF & KDHE process programs in KEES. Even though each agency’s programs are on different case numbers, the majority of the person level data in KEES is shared. This means data collection pages in KEES are used by both DCF and KDHE to collect information and determine eligibility. When a consumer reports one of the following changes:
Out of State Address
Incarceration
You must notify DCF using the Shared Data Process outlined on the Shared Data page in the KEES User Manual. It is critical to follow this process to ensure case accuracy.

The KanCare Proactive Communication Schedule is available on the KEES Repository under KDHE Communications. The calendar was updated on 03/17/2025 to include the new schedule to account for KanCare reviews being sent out on an earlier schedule. Calendar is available from 09/2024 through 08/2025.

The Primary Applicant moves out of Kansas
A verified medical condition begins, ends, or changes (other than Incapacity- Verifiable and at least 30 days or Other Food Assistance Disability
Health Insurance Premiums Begins, Ends or Changes
You must notify KDHE using the Shared Data Process in the user manual. The Shared Data process can be found here.
