A build is scheduled for this weekend. Below is a summary of what is included in the release as well as any workarounds that will no longer be necessary.
Workers will no longer see NOA’s pulling incorrect case head information on notices.
The Report a Change flow in the SSP will no longer trigger AR request tasks to generate in KEES.
KEES will no longer allow future DOBs to be added for new members. Newborns should not be added to the case until they are reported as being born.
Workers will no longer see increased income on EDBC from phantom records.
Consumers with an expired password will no longer see Error! The Username or Password is incorrect but will be routed to the Expired Password Modal to create a new password.
An automation BOT has been introduced to assist with case linking and unlinking requests that come from the Self-Service Portal (SSP). In order for a client to submit Reviews and Changes through the SSP, their SSP Account needs to be linked to their KEES Case Number. Today, clients submit their requests through the SSP, and a task is created in KEES to be worked manually. Beginning August 12th, a BOT will pick up these requests and work them. KDHE SSP Requests that do not meet the criteria to be linked will generate a fall out task to be worked by staff.
The Rejected Medical Case Linking Request task will appear for Medical only. In CURRENT this task will appear as e-request, with no change to CURRENT functionality. This task will generate for the following reasons:
The case head submitting the linking request has a household status of Added in Error, Temporarily Out of the Household, or Permanently Out of the Household.
The person submitting the linking request is under the age of 19.
The person submitting the linking request is not the case head.
The case that they are attempting to link to has been Denied or Discontinued for longer than 90 days.
The following tasks will no longer show in KEES:
SSP Unlink Request
SSP Link Request
For instructions on how to handle the Fall out task from the BOT please see Account Linking in the KEES User Manual.
CE dates are being added for SOBRA children.
Children that are on SOBRA coverage are eligible for a 12-month CE period. If another emergency occurs within their active CE period, a new application is not needed to approve SOBRA.
The following snippet will generate on SOBRA approval NOA’s:
“{Name} will be eligible for coverage of any additional qualifying emergency medical services, emergency treatments or labor and delivery services received from {CE Start Date} through {CE End Date}. If additional emergency services are received during that time, please let us know.”
CE dates will be present for all Medicaid and CHIP Programs that include children.
Foster Care
Adoption Assistance
SSI Children
Protected Medical Group (PMG)
Working Healthy (WKH)
LTC Children
Children who would no longer be eligible on non-CE programs will be moved to PLN with a CE to finish the rest of their year of CE coverage. (PLN/NB, PLN/C2, PLN/C3)
Foster Care
Adoption Assistance

LTC Children
Children in PMG and WKH will continue their non-MAGI aid code through their CE Period.

WA676 SOBRA Children CE
CMS mandates will no longer allow children to be discontinued for Past Due Premiums when they are in the middle of a CE period. At review the penalty will be assessed and served if needed.
New applications for consumers who have Past Due Premiums should continue to be denied until their penalty period is served, shortened, or negated.
The following work around has been retired:
WA674 Premium Billing
Staff will now see KEES correctly sending out both the Pre-Populated Review (KC1200) and BCC Targeted Review (KC1400) on cases. Please remember only one IR Reporting record will show when more than one review type is sent out.

The premium delinquent fields for CHIP and Working Healthy are now displaying correct information on the medical program block.
The No Review Failed Determination task will now generate on cases.

DCF is introducing automation to assist with case linking and unlinking requests that come from the Self-Service Portal (SSP). DCF SSP Requests that do not meet the criteria to be linked will be rejected by the BOT.
Changes to the online LIEAP application have been made to make the application easier for people to use. Examples of changes include updated wording to be more clear and concise, increased white space on the screens, and a streamlined experience. Changes to highlight include:
Updating the online application to no longer make County a required field when submitting an application. County will now pre-populate on the application based on the normalized address selected by the client. If an address is not normalized, the county will default to Shawnee and provide the client an opportunity to update it before submitting the application. To avoid a blank county code on the application, default functionality for non-normalized addresses was designed to support workflow and the EBT interface file. It’s important for staff to verify all aspects of an address are correct before accepting it in KEES. This change was required by Food and Nutrition Services (FNS).
A new screen for strike information was also added to the online application. Staff will see these new questions on the e-Application PDF. Questions include the person on strike, name of company, before strike income, and date strike started.
Removal of the self-payment requirement questions from the application. The corresponding fields in KEES will be removed in a future release prior to the start of the LIEAP season.
A new field to collect if the client own or rents their dwelling type. This data is needed for federal reporting purposes.
Beginning with the August KEES release, an EES Registration BOT will be added to the KEES BOT library. The EES Registration BOT will attempt to register all TANF, CC, or FA applications received through the SSP. Registration includes:
E-linking the application
File clearing all applicants
Applying or reapplying the applicants to the appropriate program
Accepting Changes to Individual Demographics that include:
Email address
Phone Number
Language
Rejecting Changes to Individual Demographics that includes:
First Name changes
Typos to Last Name, DOB or SSN
Adding a Journal Entry
Adding the case to the Tracker
In the event that the BOT cannot successfully complete registration, the BOT will stop, and a Manual Registration Required Task will generate.
Changes are being made to KEES to allow SEBT applications to be submitted by consumers and processed by staff. SEBT is being processed by a team of staff trained in this program. Please do not register SEBT, run EDBC for SEBT or discontinue SEBT. Questions about an SEBT case can be emailed to DCF.SEBTPolicyQuestions@ks.gov .
The ES-3100R (FA review form) will include expedited questions on both the English and Spanish form. When a review is received late (after the last day of the month due) it must be screened for expedited services. The Self-Service Portal (SSP) will not have the screening questions due to the review form not being available after the review due month and a new application must be completed.
The ES-3114 FA IR form and the ES-3115 FA 12-month Report will now display the correct upper age limit for ABAWD criteria in English and Spanish. This will also be reflected in the SSP forms.
When a case has a CSS Non-Compliance record and the FA review has not been received, the batch will close the program for Review Not Received and will not run a read only record for the following month.
KEES will generate Application Registration tasks with region and location listed for all applications.
KEES will correctly auto assign tasks to the worker ID tied to the resource.
