Batch EDBC is used by KEES anytime EDBC needs to be run for a large number of persons/programs/cases. Specifically, Batch EDBC calls the online rules engine to process EDBC for multiple cases at once.
Batch EDBC authorizes and saves the EDBC records that were processed. The eligibility information is transmitted to KMMS on a monthly or daily basis. Once the Batch EDBC is run the system creates a Journal entry and generates a notice.
Batch EDBC runs for the current benefit month. If interfaces update information for a month after the cutoff for payment, Batch EDBC adjusts the eligibility for the following month.
