Medical Programs Only

People being pulled into the EDBC/Budget incorrectly on PMG cases.

If you have a PMG case and only the PA should be on the EDBC results but parents or spouse are being included incorrectly, please report these to the KEES Help Desk even if there is no impact to the determination.

Example:  PMG/AD - expect to see the PA only on the budget. Actual results: PA (35) is an Active MEM and both parents are being pulled in as Active FRI.

Workarounds:

Gift Income Not Budgeting on Child Care Program

KEES is not counting the Income Type of Cash Gifts in the Child Care budget. Until this defect is fixed, use the Income Category of Miscellaneous and Income Type of Countable All Programs when running EDBC on a case with a Child Care program.

 

Issuing Work Programs Payments for Consumers in Transitional Status

KEES is not currently allowing staff to issue Supportive Service Payments or Provider Payments for consumers with a Work Programs program block in Transitional Status. Follow the steps below and remember to leave the program block in Active status until the payment has issued.

  1. Update the Work Programs program block status to Active.
  2. Create and Approve the Payment
  3. Leave the program block in Active status overnight until the payment is issued.
  4. Update the Work Programs program block status to Transitional using the start date of the actual transitional period.
  5. Because we have altered the status on the program block, these cases need to be tracked manually. To do this, create a manual task as a reminder to discontinue these cases manually at the end of the 12 month transitional period. Select Work Programs as the queue, Follow Up Needed as the task name, and assign the task to the worker assigned to the Work Programs program block.
