Child Care for Foster Care Children:
The child care rules have been updated to verify the family is receiving foster care payments for the child; and will fail with a reason of Gets Foster Care if they are receiving payment. Previously, KEES was only looking for a foster care program block. All staff should be able to process these cases without error and no longer need to use designated staff in their regions.
It is recommended that Family Plans are edited for cases processed with the workaround to remove the overridden EDBC using the steps below. Any cases sent to help desk for processing will be recalculated by help desk.
Click Edit from the Family Plan List page or the Family Plan Detail page.
Select January through the end of the Family Plan using the check box in the Override field.
Click the Remove and Recalculate button.
Select January from the Benefit Month drop-down menu.
Click the Calculate button. You should see the same benefit amount that was previously calculated.
Select No Change Notification Required from the Change Reason menu.
Click the Save button.
Run EDBC through the come-up month.
Viewing Issuance Details from Issuance History
Staff can now view issuance details within the context of a case from Issuance History by clicking on the Control Number. Previously, staff were receiving a JAVA error. It is important to note that this is still an issue with how dates display. Some issue dates display the year as 0017 instead of 2017. Best practice is to make sure to change the filter on this page from 3 Months to All when viewing issuance history from the Case Summary page within the case.
