End Dating or Modifying Existing Expense Data - Family Medical

NOTE: It is best practice to keep accurate historical reference to each expense. If there is a change to an expense other than an end date, the user must first end date the existing expense and then add a new expense with the updated expense information.

Complete the following

1. In the context of the case, select Eligibility from the Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from the Local Navigation. Open the financial data pages by clicking on the + beside Financial from Task navigation. Select Expenses from Task Navigation.

2. The Expense List page displays. On the Expense List page click the Edit button for the expense for which the information has changed.

   • Proceed to STEP 3 if removing an existing expense.

   • Proceed to STEP 9 if changing the amount of an existing expense.

3. If end dating an expense, click the Edit button next to the appropriate expense in the Contributors block. The Expense Contributors Detail page displays.

4. Enter a date in the End Date field.

5. Click the Save and Return button. The Expense Detail page displays.

6. Click the Edit button next to the appropriate expense in the Amounts block. The Expense Amount Detail page displays.

7. Enter a date in the End Date field.

8. Click the Save and Return button. The Expense Detail page displays. Proceed to STEP 14.

9. The Expense Detail page displays. Click the Add button in the Amounts block.

10. The Expense Amount Detail page displays. In the Begin Date field, enter the Date the allowed expense starts being counted. This should be the first day of the month the expense should be counted for eligibility.

11. Select a value from the Verification field.

12. Click the Save and Return button. The Effective Dating Confirmation page displays.

13. Verify the information is correct and click the Save button. The Expense Detail page displays.

14. Click the Save and Return button. The Expense List page displays. To add a new expense record, see Adding an Expense.

    NOTE: If removing an insurance premium for an insurance policy the consumer no longer has, remember to update the Other Health Insurance page with the policy end date.
