An Elderly and Disabled income type only needs to be created if one of the two following scenarios exists:
All Liquid Resources marked as "joint" converted with a value of 50% ownership in KEES. For rules to count it correctly for eligibility, the Resource Detail page needs to be edited to 100% ownership.
Check all expenses on the case after conversion.
The user needs to confirm expenses is counted appropriately: KAECSES can be used to confirm how the expenses were initially entered.
Information converted includes Tax Filer, Begin Date/Filing Year, Filing Status, and Dependents. The user should validate the information on the page but should not need to make changes unless the consumer reports a change. If duplicate tax records display for a consumer, click the Remove button to delete the extra record.
No expense information converted to the Medicare Expense page. Medicare records are populated on the Medicare Information page and can create data on the Medicare Expense Detail page. This includes the Medicare Claim Number and the Part A, B & D Start and End Dates.
The user does not need to touch this page unless the consumer needs a Medicare Expense added.
