Left click the drop-down caret for the Applications button on the Perceptive Content Toolbar.
Select KEES DCF Non-Medical as the default application plan. (See Setting Default Application Plan.)
NOTE: The user needs to set the default appropriate to the type of document to be scanned. Examples that use KEES DCF Non-Medical include non-medical application, non-medical review, loose mail, interim report (IR), and documents associated to a non-medical case.
Left click the drop-down caret for the Capture button on the Perceptive Content Toolbar.
Select Package Mode as the capture profile.
The Enter Received Date dialog box displays with the current date auto-populated and the Perceptive Content Viewer - Package screen displays.
NOTE: The Default Date is the current date and the user can manually change the date if needed.
Click the OK button.
The Perceptive Content Viewer – Package screen displays. The Document Keys Received Date and Unique ID auto-populates.
NOTE: The Received Date auto-populates based on the date entered in the Received Date dialog box. The user can manually change the received date in the correct format <mm/dd/yyyy> on the Document keys if needed.
Document Keys Case Number and Case Name need to be copied and pasted with the appropriate information from KAECSES.
NOTE: Best practice is to copy the KAECSES Case Number into the Perceptive Content field. Case Name needs to be identical to the way it is SPELLED in KAECSES. The format the name should be entered into Perceptive Content needs to be First Name, Middle Initial, and then Last Name because that is how it is converted from KEES. Only the first letter of each name should be capitalized. No periods or commas should be entered. Hyphens and apostrophes are ok.
Verify that the user can view the all document types under DCF Non-Medical basket on the left side of the Perceptive Content Viewer – Package screen.
Select the appropriate Document Type to capture the initial image based on what is considered the primary document.
Example: Application, Correspondence, Personal Identifying Information, Non-Medical Review.
Load the paper document(s) into the scanner.
NOTE: Paper goes in the scanner upside down and backward. The scan is completed for both sides of the paper (duplex scanning).
Click the Capture icon on the bottom of the Perceptive Content Viewer – Package screen. The scanner is invoked and scans the document(s).
Click OK when the window displays with a message to load more paper to continue.
The scanned image goes directly into the selected Document Type and displays in the Perceptive Content Viewer. If needed, drag and drop the supporting document(s) to their appropriate document type(s). Ensure the Case Number and Case Name are correct.
NOTE: The Perceptive Content session may be blinking in the Toolbar at the bottom of the monitor. Click to view.
NOTE: Multiple documents can be moved to one drawer at the same time by holding down the Ctrl key while clicking on each document. Once all desired documents are highlighted, release the Ctrl key, place the cursor over one of the documents and drag the “group” to the appropriate document type.
QA the image of the documents for clarity and verify the accuracy of the document type(s), and the document keys for all images.
Click the Submit button on Perceptive Content Viewer – Package screen. The Perceptive Content Viewer closes.
