Question |
Answer |
|
1 |
How will this impact the teams that only work with one program...i e Medical E and D or Hybrid? Will a Hybrid worker come across the medical app that is submitted after PE |
Question being taken back |
|
2 |
Will these submitter accounts count as valid ROI? |
No, this is not an authorized representative or legal guardian. They are only there to submit the application and do nothing else |
|
3 |
when they create a submitter account, will an RDB form be automatically generated and submitted? |
No, this is because the submitter is not to be attached to the account. They only submit the application and do nothing else |
|
4 |
Do the FACs know that? |
That is not known at this time. Demo's have been made that once the release is done they will be able to look at the demo to know this |
|
5 |
How will the applicant sign the application? |
Like they always do online |
|
6 |
What if this person looks like a signature but PA does not sign it. Do we need to get PA's signature? |
Submitter will indicate who they are and what they are doing then the PA would have to click and sign like they usually would |
|
7 |
So will the applicant then have to have their own User account too to ensure it is signed by the app? |
They will but it will not be linked to the submitter application |
|
8 |
I have had cases where the app is submitted online- but the client is not present- on the phone only. What do we do in that situation. |
Will talk to business but if that happens a signature should be requested from the consumer like you treat any unsigned application. Review PM2020-09-01 on signatures |
|
9 |
So each time a SSP application is submitted a new case number is generated, through the auto registration process. Can the consumer see all of these case numbers? If do could this potentially cause some confusion in them selecting the correct case number to report changes or reviewing coverage, and what all? |
Taken back |
|
10 |
If they applied with a paper app and never on-line, would they need to create an account and then be able to upload and make changes? |
Yes, they will be able to link the existing case number and register online |
|
11 |
So is that going to be considered a valid ROI |
This is not submitter this is the consumer themselve linking to the case. So nothing to do with ROI |
|
12 |
Will any of these changes be done by auto registration? |
Taken back to double check |
|
13 |
Will these changes generate needed TASKs to get the work completed |
Yes they do create the appropriate task in KEES. Unknown task name will double check |
|
14 |
Will it generate NB tasks or add person tasks if a PA reports a NB on the changes? |
It will generate NB requesting coverage, request for coverage, request for contact information changing, end close request. If notone of those it will be Process Change. Logic goes to the casebanks that's assigned to the Program Block |
|
15 |
Will we need proof (hard copies) for the expenses and income changes? |
This will not change, if we need it today we still need proof |
|
16 |
At some point will we be able to have "children" listed in HH who have been out of home for several years removed? |
If they are not in the home they won't show on the SSP for the consumer to access. |
|
17 |
Again, is the authorized rep changes a valid ROI/Facilitator change without using the KC6100/KC6200 |
Taken back - PM-2020-02-01 |
|
19 |
Living since 1996 question for citizenship |
This is in reference to if they have been living in the US since 1996 |
|
20 |
Will it require them to enter their immigration number. |
Taken back - think so but will look into it |
|
21 |
On the school attendence, for medical, if there is a new indicator are we able to reject the record? |
No, medical should not touch this record at all. Not even to reject. This is used for non-medical for specific eligibility reasons. This can mess up the non-medical determination. Just pretend the school attendance page doesn't exist. It will not impact a medical determination at all. |
|
22 |
So medical should not be getting case returns for the "new" indicator still being there? |
Taken back to business. Question for Sup and Quality (jesse coffman) |
|
23 |
Question on the non medical records we're not supposed to touch.... if we leave any red data acceptance we get dinged on our QA Audits. |
QA won't ding on non-medical information as it is not our page to touch |
|
24 |
If it changes the RMT, will the Casebank and Task be changed accordingly? |
No it will only update the queue not the casebank |
|
25 |
On the SSP, will the consumer be required to answer the question about disability, LTC, and MSP? Will they be able to leave it blank or skip the question completely in the SSP? |
It is the same as it was before, they are required to answer about any existing condtions or diabilities. It will then display more questions based on the answer |
|
26 |
When PM is requested will consumer have to answer the PM questions? |
Yes |
|
27 |
You stated earlier the the is only options of married or single, in E&D if the client is separated we need to know that. |
There are no other options at this time, that is something Brandon has issues with |
|
28 |
Do you know if it has been corrected so that those answers will show on the PDF again or are they still only going to the E-Apps |
Yes and no. It was supposed to all be done in may but the remainder that didn't get done will be released later. No clarification on what was done |
|
29 |
If they are divorced would that be single in KEES? |
It would come over from the SSP as single. It will come over however they answer it |
|
30 |
when we access the SSP application in image now, it has not been showing disability on the application. We have had to check the e-app to confirm. |
You want to use both resources to check for information from the consumer |
|
31 |
So will we have to verify if they are seperated or disvorced then? |
If you are doing data acceptance and see that divorced/separated/or something else other than married or single the only options they will have are single or married. If policy requires a verification a change from married to single you still do so per policy. Policy is not changing. Common law = married |
|
32 |
currently if PM is requested consumer can just ignore answering the PM questions. Has this changed? |
Taken back to double check |
|
33 |
Will this be added to the Journal or will we have to add it ourselves? Other health insurance PLN/C5(M-Chip) |
It will be updated in the journal pro when the next update goes in. Until that update is added it would need to be manually updated by the worker |
|
34 |
Can we get the SSP to require immigration number and section code when the application reports that they are not citizen? |
That is request to send through policy to go through the appropriate channels. CMS requirements that we can only require certain fields |
|
35 |
So we will be able to help a consumer complete this in walk in |
Taking back to see operationaly how to make this happen. Check with Sup before using this functionality |
|
36 |
Are they able to upload documents with these apps such as income, Personal identity info, etc? or will they still need to mail in or fax in the info? |
Yes |
|
37 |
How will they know how to fill out the first page since it says person information. A person helping may put in the consumers information |
There is an info area they can hover and it explains that if you are applying on your own behalf to mark no to being a part of an organization that helps people complete applications for medical assitance |
|
38 |
Do you need to enter the dashes for the SSN |
Yes you do. Format specific information has an example to show you what format is needed. It also makes the information private after being filled out. This is to protect the user if they are in a public place |
|
39 |
So is this a new feature that they can use anything or only when submitting a app? |
This particular section is only for submitting an application but they will be able to submit changes per the previous e-change section we went over |
|
40 |
So the documents needs to be on the computer to upload to the SSP portal |
yes to attach here it needs to be an electronic document. Anything else they can mail or fax in |
|
41 |
confirmation page does this show a confirmation #? Can the applicant find this information through confirmation number? |
There will be a confirmation number printed out. It is not used to look information up |
|
42 |
Is there a maximum amount of time that the incomplete application is stored before a new SSP would need filled out? |
Yes, but we will have to track down the exact number of days |
|
43 |
So they can use the up load document feature anytime or only when submitting a app? |
They can after the release. But only if they have a linked case it will not be attached to an application if it is uploaded separately. |
|
44 |
What is the current target date for this Release? |
July 10th - Two saturdays from now. They should take effect the following Monday the 12th |

Question |
Answer |
Answered By |
|
|
1 |
How will KEES handle if there are already PE blocks on the case, prior to it all being put on one block? |
If there are old PE programs on the case, a new one will be created automatically. If one does not create and a new "Presumptive Eligibility" program block does not already exist, staff should submit a KEES Help Desk ticket. |
KEES Business |
|
|
2 |
Will this cut down on people sending in both PE and Medical apps? |
They'll come in at the same time now. The goal is for more individuals to utilize this streamlined approach. Will this cut down on separate documents to track? We hope so, but we are also hoping that this encourages more people whom may not have done so before to apply for full medical with PE. |
KEES Training/KEES Business |
|
|
3 |
If there are multiple medical program blocks with different casebanks, is their a heirarchy for which casebank will be assigned to the case? |
Yes, there is a hierarchy. At a very high level it is LTC, E&D, and then Family Medical. For a more detailed list this page in the KEES User Manual has them listed at the current Hierarchy. http://content.dcf.ks.gov/ees/KEESWebHelp/index.htm |
KEES Business |
|
|
4 |
Will we receive e-change requests instead of contact info changes? |
Task is still contact info change, but now via SSP. If corresponding task exists, it will stay the same. If not, it will be an e-change task. There are more tasks that correspond to e-Changes. They are: Add Newborn, Request for Coverage, Contact info Change, Passive Review Response, and Process change. |
KEES Training/KEES Business |
|
|
5 |
Would a request from a consumer for an app to be mailed show up as an e-request? |
No. They would just fill out the app if they are using the SSP. |
KEES Training |
|
|
6 |
Is this (e-change) specifically for prior med changes or just changes in general? |
Changes in general. This doesn't have anything to do with PM. |
KEES Training |
|
|
7 |
Are changes in expenses specifically for E&D/LTC or would FM address these changes? |
Family Medical does not use Expenses in the determinations. |
KEES Business |
|
|
8 |
Will SSP allow submissions with missing info? |
Yes, throughout SSP some questions/fields are mandatory and others are optional. Which questions are displayed also depends on how the consumer answers previous questions. The SSP is dynamic. |
Policy |
|
|
9 |
E-request asking to link the SSP. |
This is saying, I have an existing case in KEES and now I have an SSP account. Not sure how to answer this question. An e-Request task is a request for a User to have their SSP account linked to their KEES case. This can come in when they apply for the first time, or while they have a Case already. |
KEES Training/KEES Business |
|
|
10 |
Are their directions for the consumer to use these new functions? |
Yes - there are demos that will be housed on the SSP for consumers. |
KEES Training |
|
|
11 |
Has the glitch for SSP apps on income been fixed, or do we still need to reject the record and enter manually? |
Unsure what "glitch" this is refering to specifically. Updates on defects especially those with workarounds are published in the KEES Dispatch when the issue has been resolved. |
KEES Business |
|
|
12 |
If multiple programs requested, what heirarchy is used for data mapping? |
Data Mapping occurs on all data from the e-app regardless of programs applied for. For instance if I reproted resources and requested Family Medical coverage, there woud be Resources mapped in to data accept. |
KEES Business |
|
|
13 |
Will the date changes for denials on NOAs reflect what it actually should be? |
This hasn't changed - if you're seeing this, tickets need to be submitted to get that corrected. |
KEES Training |
|
|
14 |
Will there be a 'clean-up' for M-CHIP kids to be reevaluated so they have the correct new code? |
There will be a conversion of all the current active MCHIP members to the new code. |
KEES Business |
|
|
15 |
If OHI is reported after the fact, will we need to re-run EDBC and will it protect the CE? |
Yes, CE should be protected even if an OHI record is added after approval. |
Policy |
|
|
16 |
Will PLN/C5 still show if 'unavailable' to the consumer? Over 50 miles. |
There is nothing presently identified to prevent this. |
KEES Business |
|
|
17 |
Will we get more detailed error messages in the future? |
The error messages you view are from the base product of KEES. These messages cannot be customized or modified. |
KEES Business |
|
|
18 |
Will the new tax record field not map over so many tax records to KEES? |
There will still be Tax Records that should map into KEES. For Report a Change or Reviews there will be no Data acceptance. |
KEES Business |
|
|
19 |
When they enter income or resources will they have to put who the income/resources belong to? |
The SSP will ask the to select the person the financial information belongs to, however since this is not always required, there could be times where the consumer does not complete this. |
KEES Business |
|
|
20 |
On income, will they be able to choose more than one? |
Consumers are able to report multiple income records. |
KEES Business |
|
|
21 |
Will Outstationed workers be using the SSP portal to help a consumer apply? |
Our goal with submitter functionality on the SSP was for Outstationed and Intake Workers, Clearinghoue and KDHE Eligibility to utilize this for Phone, apps and Walk-ins. I believe a process is being developed operationally. |
KEES Business |
|
|
22 |
What about homeless - they wouldn't have an address. |
Consumers are not required to have a Home address but are required to provide a mailing address while using the SSP. |
KEES Business |
|
|
23 |
In the SSP portal, is a SSN required for those not requesting coverage? |
No, In the SSP, the question "Do you have a Social Security Number?" will display. It is a required question if the individual answered yes to applying for benefits. If they answer yes, then a text box will collect the SSN as a mandatory field. |
KEES Business/Policy |
|
|
24 |
Now that the applications have been updated with only two allowed marital statuses, should the matching option be selected in KEES or will this effect anything? For example - would it be considered wrong to select Single instead of Never Married? |
In general, staff are expected to enter accurate information in the system. If the applicant marked Married or Single on the application, the case should show Married or Single. |
Policy |
