Real Property Detail

 

1.     Select the Property Type from Real Property Type drop-down menu.  See KEES Medical Resource Values for more information.  (KEES User Manual Introduction, K2Ks, Medical Resource Values ).  

2.     Select the appropriate description of the property from the Description drop-down menu.

NOTE: This value is required for EDBC to determine if a resource is exempt or non-exempt.  EDBC cannot build a budget if this field is not completed.

3.     Enter the current countable value of the property in the Value field.

·        For Exempt Primary Real Property, enter the value of the property listed on the application.  If the consumer does not report the value of the property, enter 0.

·        For all other Countable Real Property, enter the value of the property listed on the County Appraiser’s Website.

NOTE: When verifying non-exempt property through the County Appraiser’s Website, a copy of the information from the County Appraiser’s website MUST be imaged to the case.  See KEES Medical Imaging for assistance on imaging the County Appraiser information to the case. NOTE: The encumbrance field is not currently used to determine the value of a resource. Do not enter an amount in the Encumbrance field unless the consumer reports that they still owe money on a Resource.

4.     Select  Yes or No using the Listed for Sale drop-down menu.

5.     Click the radio button for the appropriate Property Address; or click the Add Address button to enter a New Property Address.  

6.     Select the appropriate value using the Verified drop-down menu.

7.     Click the Save and Add Another button to add additional Resource Category records.  Otherwise, click the Save and Return button.
