Updating e-Application Status

When the case you are processing has multiple e-Apps linked to it that have an In Progress status, EDBC only updates the earliest dated e-App to Processed. The remaining e-App(s) will remain in an In Progress status.

In the example below, after EDBC was run, the e-Application date of 06/01/2020 updated to Processed. The remaining e-App status is still In Progress. Workers should update the newer linked application's status to Processed by Worker.

NOTE: If the e-Application is linked to the incorrect case, the e-Application Status will be shared between the two cases.

In Progress e-App Status

When the e-App status is In Progress, the steps below should be followed to update the status to Processed by Worker..

  1. From the Case Summary page, click the e-App number hyperlink for the e-App that is in a status of In Progress.

  2. Click the Edit button on the e-Application Summary page.

  3. Select Posted from the e-App Status drop-down, then click the Save button.

  4. Repeat these steps for each e-App that needs to be updated.

Important to Remember

e-Applications in Received status are automatically set to In Progress when a worker is assigned.

Once an e-App has been linked to a case, it cannot be unlinked. This is true even if it was linked in error.

Follow your current business process re: Data Acceptance.

It is important to remember that once an e-App has been linked to a case, ALL DATA ACCEPTANCE should be completed.

If you update a linked e-App status to Processed by Worker, but you do not complete the data acceptance, the data acceptance does not go away, but the New indicator that displays in Task Navigation WILL NO LONGER display (the New indicator next to the individual record itself does not go away).
