Editing a Verification

Users can add additional information or extend the due date for a verification record on the Verification Detail page.

To edit a verification record:

  1. Access the case through Person Search or enter the Case Number in the quick search field from Task Navigation and click Go. The Case Summary page displays.

  2. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Select Verifications from Task Navigation. The Verification List page displays.

  3. Click Edit for the verification record. The Verification Detail page displays.

  4. Make any necessary changes to the following fields:

NOTE:  Only modify the Status of user added verification records from the Verification Detail page.  Always modify the Status of verification records set by data collection fields on the corresponding data collection page.

NOTE:  If marked Yes, see Postponed Verification - Received or Postponed Verification - Not Received for additional steps.

NOTE: Selecting a Program value allows a task to be created for the appropriate queue when the Verification Detail is still Pending at the Due Date.

NOTE: Only modify the Status of user added verification records from the Verification Detail page. Always modify the Status of verification records set by data collection fields on the corresponding data collection page.  

  1. Click the Save and Return button to save any changes or the Cancel button to leave the page without saving updates made to the verification record. The Verification List page displays.

Note: When allowing for “reasonable opportunity” for TANF or child care, the Due Date is set 3 months from the date the case is processed, and the Request Date is set 10 days prior to the Due Date to allow the Verification Not Received task to generate at the correct time. If the verification is received prior to the Request Date, update the Request Date to be the date the verification is received.
