FA Vulnerable Individual

The National Accuracy Clearinghouse (NAC) defines a Vulnerable Individual as someone that could be in danger if their location is revealed. This could include a person that:

• Is currently residing in a shelter or center for battered women.

• Is currently residing in domestic violence shelters or centers.

• Has self-proclaimed to be fleeing domestic violence.

The FA Vulnerable Individual indicator is person level, meaning it must be selected on the records for each person in the household that meets the criteria.

To Indicate a Person as an FA Vulnerable Individual:

1. Access the case through Person Search or enter the Case Number in the quick search field from Task Navigation and click Go.  The Case Summary page displays.

2. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Select Household Status from Task Navigation. The Household Status List page displays.

3. Click the Add button. The Household Status Detail page displays.
   NOTE: It is important to use the Add button when adding or changing a Household Status to ensure accurate effective dating and to preserve historical records.

4. Select the household member from the Name drop-down menu.

5. Select the appropriate value from the Living in the Home Status drop-down menu.

6. Select the check box for FA Vulnerable Individual.

7. Enter the Begin Date using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.

8. Click the Save and Return button. If there was an existing record for the consumer the Effective Dating Confirmation List page displays.  Verify the Begin and End Dates are correct, then click the Save button. The Household Status List page displays.
