Any future LIEAP benefits, should you become eligible, will be offset against this debt if it has not been paid back.
This is based on the following regulation: KEESM 13450 Overpayment Adjustments – “Recovery efforts are made against overpayments resulting from applicant misrepresentation or agency error. The household is advised of the overpayment at the time it is identified and given the option of paying any remaining balance through monthly installments or lump sum repayment.”
