Add a Program Person - Non-Medical

Before adding a program person, make sure the person is listed under All People Associated with the Case on the Case Summary page. If not, follow the steps outlined in Add a Case Person.  If the person already displays in the program block, see Reapply Person or Reapply Program for detailed steps.

Add a Program Person

From the Case Summary page:

  1. Change the Display Date to the first month the program person is being added to the program (the Beginning Date of Aid) using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.
  2. Click the View button to refresh the page with the new display date.
  3. In the 'Non-Medical' program block, click View Details button. The ‘Non-Medical’ Detail page displays.
  4. Click the Edit button to make the ‘Non-Medical’ Detail page editable.
  5. In the Program Persons block, click the Add button. The ‘Non-Medical’ Person Detail page displays.
  6. Using the Name drop-down menu, select the Case Person to add to the program block.
  7. Enter the Application Date as the date the request is made using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.
  8. Enter the Beginning Date of Aid using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.  The date should be the first day of the first month the person can be added to the program, considering Timely and Adequate notice.

    OTE: It is important to ensure the Application Date and Beginning Date of Aid are entered correctly. If you receive an error message related to these fields, please see File Clearance and Registration Warning Messages for instructions on how to proceed.
  9. Click the Save and Continue button to navigate to the New / Reapplication Detail page.  
  10. Using the Case Application drop-down menu:
  11. Select Paper from the Source drop-down menu.  
  12. Verify the Primary applicant field is accurate.
  13. Click the Save and Continue button. The ‘Non-Medical’ Detail page displays.
  14. Click the Save and Return button.  The Case Summary page displays.

NOTE:  If the person is receiving benefits on another case, add the Permanently Out of the Home Household Status on the other case and run EDBC to discontinue the person on the other case, prior to running EDBC on the new case.  If there are programs on the other case up for review, run EDBC for the review month without a Run Reason.
