Aged Out Foster Care Medical

The following criteria must be met for Aged Out Foster Care Medical:

• The applicant is over 18, but younger than 26.

• The applicant was in Kansas State Custody (DCF, Tribal or KDOC-JS) during the month of their 18th birthday and receiving Foster Care.

• The applicant aged out of Foster Care in another state on or after 1/1/2023.

NOTE: In January 2015 the Affordable Care Act (ACA) expanded the eligibility requirements from 21 to 26. Specific instructions have been developed for youth 21 to 26. See Applicant between 21 to 26.
