Sometimes the individual in the Long Term Care setting or the person’s community spouse has a dependent to which income can be allocated. In that situation, the worker needs to complete the Dependents of LTC Applicant/Member or Dependents of Spouse page.
Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Select LTC Data from Task Navigation.
Click the Add button on the LTC Data List page if no LTC data record exists.
If the consumer has a current and accurate LTC data record, click the Edit button. The LTC Data Detail page displays.
Click the Add button in the Dependents of LTC/Applicant/Member or Dependents of Spouse section.
Select the dependent(s) from the Dependent(s) drop-down menu on the Dependents of LTC Applicant/Member or Dependents of Spouse page.
NOTE: The dependent must be a case person in order to display in the Dependent(s) drop-down menu. See Add a Case Person for detailed steps.
Select the Begin Date.
This can be the application date or can be the date the consumer reported the dependent needing allocation for an ongoing case.
Click the Save and Return button when the record is completed. The LTC Data Detail page displays.
Review the LTC Data Detail page for accuracy, updating information appropriately.
Complete any additional data collection.
Run EDBC. See Running EDBC for detail steps.
Review the determined allocation amount.
Click the Medical hyperlink to go to the Medical EDBC Summary page.
Click the Medically Needy hyperlink in the Eligible Budgets section. The Requested Medical EDBC – Medically Needy page displays.
Click the dollar amount hyperlink for the Allocation and Other Deductions line item on the Requested Medical EDBC – Medically Needy page. The EDBC Person Line Item Detail – Allocation page displays the specific amount allocated to the dependents.
Click the dollar amount hyperlink on the EDBC Person Line Item Detail – Allocation page opens the Long Term Care (LTC) Allocation Detail to see how the amount of the allocation was determined.
Click the Close button. The EDBC Person Line Item Detail-Allocation page displays.
Click the Close button. The Requested Medical EDBC-Medically Needy page displays.
Click the Close button, if the amount is correct, on the Requested Medical EDBC – Medically Needy page. The Medical EDBC Summary page displays.
Accept the EDBC result, if the EDBC is correct, on the Medical EDBC Summary.
Click the Save and Continue button on the EDBC List page. The Distributed Document Search page displays.
