When workers encounter Non-Citizens with the following designation:
MIS Non-Immigrant Citizen of the Republic of Marshall Islands. Compact of Free Association Act of 1985, PL 99-239 and PL 99-258
PAL Non-Immigrant Citizen of the Republic of Palau. Compact of Free Association Act of 1985, PL 99-239 and PL 99-260
FSM Non-Immigrant Citizen of the Federated States of Micronesia. Compact of Free Association Act of 1985, PL 99-239 and PL 99-259
A Citizenship/Identity record must be created for the consumers following the steps below:
Select a Name from the drop-down menu.
Select Yes to the question Was this person born in a US State/Territory?
Enter the correct Birth State/Territory information.
Do not fill out the U.S. Citizenship Verification or the Identity Verification fields; both should remain blank.
Click Save and Continue.
Navigate to the Non-Citizenship Status Detail page.
Complete the page, using information the consumer provided and select the correct Section Code as listed above. Click Non-Citizenship Status Detail - Family Medical or Non-Citizenship for more information on how to complete the page.
Continue with the Verify Lawful Presence process.
If the VLP response indicates Non-Immigrant status, update the Initial SAVE status to Non-Immigrant
