Document Split

 

Splitting a document allows a user to move selected pages from an original imaged document and then use those pages to create a new document with unique index values.

NOTE:  For Phase 2, the Indexing eForm is only used for KEES Medical Cases.  For Non-Medical Cases, Copy Document functionality is used to split the imaged document.

  1. Access Perceptive Content.

  2. Search and Open the original imaged document in the Perceptive Content Viewer (See Retrieve Document for detailed steps.)

  3. Open the KEES Indexing eForm by selecting View/Forms or press F12.

  4. Enter the designated page range in the Pages field.

NOTE: The user must start with page 1 and specify where all pages of the document should live. For example, if the original document is 16 pages and the user wants pages 8-16 to be created as a new document, the user must first enter pages 1-7 in this field.

  1. Select the appropriate Document Category and Doc Type values for each set of images to be spilt.

  2. Click the Copy button on the eForm.

NOTE:  Repeat STEP 4 - STEP 6 until all pages are split.  In this example, repeat the steps for the next set of pages 8-16.

  1. Select the eForm Submit button to split the designated page range from the original document.

  2. Leave the Case Number and Case Name as populated. If splitting documents to a new case, designate a new Case Number.

  3. A pop up window opens,  “Are you sure you want to route this document forward in workflow to the KEES Doc Reindex Queue?” Click the OK button.

  4. The eForm disappears and Perceptive Content begins to split the documents.
