Interface Income

Batch Interfaces are initiated by specific criteria or triggers and can create or end-date SSA or SSI income records.  Interfaces that alter the income pages are BENDEX, SDX, and SVES.

First, the interface identifies whether or not a record exists in KEES.  If no record exists, the interface creates a new record with the Social Security income amount.

If a record already exists, the interface compares the amount listed in KEES to the amount known to the interface.   If there is a discrepancy between the amount recorded in KEES and the interface amount, the Social Security income record is end-dated and a new record is created with the interface income amount.

Tasks are created for staff to verify the amounts are correct prior to using the amounts in an eligibility determination.  Staff can verify the Social Security income amounts by using the EATSS system available in KAESCES.  Follow the verification process prescribed by KDHE Policy.
