Processing Aged Out Foster Care Medical

  1. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation.  Select Customer Information from Local Navigation.

  2. Update the following Data Collection pages.

NOTE:  If a consumer indicates on their application they were in foster care on their 18th birthday, a ‘New’ indicator displays on the Other Program Assistance List page. Do not accept the ‘New’ record on the Other Program Assistance List page.  It may be necessary to accept the ‘New’ record and then contact a Lead or Supervisor to request the record be removed.

  1. Select Run EDBC from Task Navigation.  The Run EDBC page displays.

  2. Select the appropriate Benefit Month from the drop-down menu and click the Select button.

  3. Select the check box for the Medical program. Do not select a Run Reason.

  4. Click the Run EDBC button.  The EDBC List page displays with a Status of Not Accepted.

  5. Click the Medical hyperlink of the EDBC result with a Status of Not Accepted.  The Medicaid EDBC Summary page displays.

NOTE: The Medicaid EDBC Summary page displays Extended Foster Care Medical with an aid code beginning with AGO.

  1. If the eligibility criteria and aid code are correct, click the Accept button. The EDBC List page displays.

NOTE: If the result or aid code is incorrect do not accept the results. Click Cancel and verify RMT is PPS. See Troubleshooting EDBC. Click the Save and Continue button.  The Distributed Documents Search page displays if a NOA is generated or the Case Summary page displays.
