Youth meets criteria for Aged Out Foster Care Medical and the results are incorrect, what do I do?
If results are incorrect, the user must determine why. The cause may be information not entered correctly on data collection pages. Verify all information has been entered correctly on the data collection pages.
To determine the reason for incorrect results click the Program hyperlink on the EDBC List page which shows a Status of Not Accepted. The Medicaid EDBC Summary page displays.
Review the information found in the Program Configuration block. To troubleshoot incorrect Role, Role Reason, and Status Reason consult the Ineligibility Status Reason Table located in the KEES Repository.
Click the Name hyperlink located in the Program Configuration block. The Individual Eligibility Criteria page displays. Review the Eligibility Criteria and the Potential Eligibility to verify the correct Eligibility Criteria and Medical Test Category options show Yes.
Click the Close button to return to the Medicaid EDBC Summary page. Return to the program block and non-financial pages to correct information if needed.
Check the age of the consumer. If they are between the ages of 21 to 26 and the EDBC Summary is incorrect, follow the instructions Creating a Manual EDBC.
A Deceased Date was entered on the wrong person and sent to MMIS. What do I do?
If the entire program was discontinued, follow the instructions below:
Navigate to the Individual Demographics Detail page for the Case Person needing the Deceased Date removed.
Remove the Deceased Date and Verification value.
Click the Save and Return button.
Re-run EDBC for the month of wrongful death through the come-up month. See Running EDBC for more information.
Navigate to the Individual Demographics Detail page for the Case Person needing a Deceased Date added.
Enter the correct Deceased Date and Verification value.
Click the Save and Return button.
Run EDBC for come-up month. See Deny or Discontinue Using Data Collection Pages for more information.
If other program persons remained active after the person had been discontinued in error, follow the instructions below:
Navigate to the Individual Demographics Detail page for the Case Person with the incorrect Deceased Date.
Remove the Deceased Date and Verification value.
Click the Save and Return button.
Contact the Help Desk at 1-844-723-5337 Option 2 - Business Support.
Navigate to the Individual Demographics Detail page for the Case Person needing a Deceased Date added.
Enter the correct Deceased Date and Verification value.
Click the Save and Return button.
Run EDBC for the come-up month. See Deny or Discontinue Using Data Collection Pages for more information.
An incorrect Deceased Date was entered and sent to MMIS. What do I do?
If the entire program was discontinued, updating a Deceased Date is a two day process. Follow the instructions below:
Day 1: (Need to Rescind the Discontinuance)
Navigate to the Individual Demographics Detail page for the Case Person with the incorrect Deceased Date.
Remove the Deceased Date and Verification value. (If necessary, update LTC Data Detail page by removing the Date of Death and Discharge Date.)
Click the Save and Return button.
Re-run EDBC for the month of death through the come-up month. See Running EDBC for more information.
Set a Future Task to be completed on the next day.
Day 2:
Add the correct Deceased Date and Verification value.
Click the Save and Return button.
Re-run EDBC for the come-up month. See Deny or Discontinue Using Data Collection Pages for more information.
