Recovery Account Refund Task: Issuing a Payment

When a consumer is due a refund from overpaying a recovery account, a Recovery Account Refund Task is created for the EES worker.

To Issue a Refund Payment

  1. Access the case through Person Search or enter the Case Number in Task Navigation and click the Go button.

  2. If people need to be added to the Program block for the underpayment see File Clearance and Registration to view how to Add a Case Person or Add a Program Person.

  3. If records need updated for case/program persons, select Eligibility from Global Navigation.

  4. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation.

  5. Run EDBC for the program being refunded ONLY. The EDBC result shows as “Not Accepted” on the EDBC List page.

  6. Click the EDBC hyperlink to view the EDBC Summary. The EDBC Summary shows if a refunded benefit amount exists. This appears as a supplement.

  7. Click the Accept button to save the EDBC result.
