School Attendance - PPS

The School Attendance page records school enrollment for all school age children.  This page is used for Foster Care, Food Assistance and TANF programs. Foster care rules uses this page to determine the appropriate aid code when the foster child turns 18.  Rules look at the child’s age, the expected date of completion and attendance status.  This page may already be completed for other programs such as TANF. Users may update as required.

FACTS will populate the School District field on this page. For non-FACTS cases the school district must be entered manually for children between the ages of 3-18. A KEES interface updates the School Lunch file for the Department of Education to identify children eligible for free or reduced lunches.  Users may manually add the school district for children in the custody of KDOC-JS or a Tribal Agency.

Per PPS Policy, School Attendance page must be completed on or after the child's 17th birthday.  The Graduate batch creates a task if a child is turning 18 years of age and does not have a School Attendance record.
