Searching the Foster Care Resource Databank

Resources for the PPS programs are found in two different tabs under the Resource Databank based on the type of Resource. Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF), Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) providers, and PPS Payees for Adoption and Permanent Custodianship are located by selecting Resource Databank from Global Navigation and Resources from Local Navigation. The Foster Care Resource Databank is located by selecting Resource Databank from Global Navigation and Foster Care from Local Navigation. The Foster Care Resource Databank contains licensed foster homes, relative placements, other unlicensed placements, group homes, AWOL, and any other manually entered foster care resource.

NOTE: If searching for a PRTF or HCBS provider, go to Searching the Resource Databank.

  1. Click Resource Databank from Global Navigation. Click Foster Care from Local Navigation. The Foster Care Resource Search page displays.

  2. Foster Care displays as the Category field.

  3. Fill out all required fields and known information to limit search results.

  4. Click the Search button.  The Foster Care Resource Search page displays.

    NOTE: If the search results are not satisfactory, click Refine Your Search and enter additional or different search criteria. If the PPS resource does not exist in the Foster Care Resource Databank or changes are needed to an existing PPS resource, reference the steps for Resource Databank for PPS Maintainer.

    Requests to add or change a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) or an HCBS resource in the Resource Databank (RDB) must be sent to the Clearinghouse. See Requesting an Addition to the Resource Databank or Requesting a Change to a Resource in the Resource Databank for the manual, external process.

    NOTE: The search results can be sorted using the ‘carets’ below each listed column. Only one column can be sorted at a time. Additional columns of information can be obtained by clicking the View Detailed Results button on the Resource Search page. The Resource Search Detailed Results page will display information about the provider such as: service category, status, additional information and phone number.

  5. Click on the Hyperlink for the correct provider. The Foster Care Resource Detail page displays.
