Social Security Administration (SSA)

The Federal HUB receives information from the SSA Composite web service. This interface is initiated in the “No Touch” process utilized by KDHE or is initiated by Using the Request Verifications Button, which is not permitted to be used for Non-Medical programs.

Through the KDHE “No Touch” process, the SSA Composite can verify Social Security Numbers, Citizenship and Identity, date of birth (DOB), and can verify or create Social Security income records.

When initiating the SSA Composite interface call through the Request Verifications button, the Social Security Number, Citizenship and Identity can be verified and is indicated as such by the Verification fields on the data collection pages (and DOB). Income records cannot be verified or created when accessing the interface by using the Request Verifications button. The income can be verified if the amount matches exactly.

DCF and KDHE Staff will continue to use EATSS or SWSS on the mainframe to verify SSN and SSA income as needed.
