A task captures and assigns a need for specific program action to a work queue. Tasks can be created manually by a user or automatically by KEES.

Task Portlet |
Available on the KEES home page and contains a list of tasks assigned to the user. |
Task Inventory |
Available by clicking the View All button from the Task Portlet and allows a user to search for tasks using specific search criteria. |
Task Management |
Available by selecting Tasks from Utility Navigation and allows a user to view all tasks related to a specific case. |
NOTE: Task windows, such as Task Management and Manual Task, do not automatically refresh. A user must exit out of the window and navigate back to the window to verify the updated information.

Manually adding a Task – LIEAP
From the LIEAP Case Summary page:
NOTE: Utilize the Images button on the task to see if there are any images associated to the task. End-users must be signed into ImageNow.
NOTE: Any additional tasks associated to the same case and in the LIEAP Queue are automatically claimed and assigned to the user.
5. Click the Claim button on the Task Details window. The Task Details window closes.
6. Navigate to the KEES home page and verify the task displays in the Task Portlet.

Task Inventory Claiming a Task – LIEAP
1. Click the View All button in the Task Portlet from the KEES home page. The Task Inventory page displays.
2. Apply filters to search for a LIEAP tasks.
· Select Region and Location
· Queue – LIEAP
· Status – defaults to New update if applicable
NOTE: LIEAP e-Applications can be filtered/identified by means of E-App Source.
3. Click the Search button. A list of tasks displays.
NOTE: The search results may be sorted using the carets associated to each listed result. Only one column can be sorted at a time.
NOTE: To perform a new search with different criteria, click the caret for Refine Your Search
4. Check the box associated to the task to be claimed, then click the Claim button.
5. Navigate to the KEES home page and verify the task displays in the Task Portlet.
6. Click the task name hyperlink in the Task Portlet. The Task Details window opens.
7. Review the task information, including any images, then close the Task Details window.
NOTE: Utilize the Images button on the task to view images associated to the task. End-users must be signed into ImageNow.

From the LIEAP Case Summary page:

Completing a Task - LIEAP
Completing a task updates the task status and may create an additional downstream task(s) for the appropriate line of business.
To Complete a Task:
NOTE:The KEES home page may need to be refreshed if a task still displays in the Task Portlet after updating the task Status Reason.
Complete Claiming a Case Task – LIEAP steps prior to completing these steps.
From the LIEAP Case Summary page
Select Tasks from Utility Navigation. The Task Management window opens.
Click the Void button for the task the user wants to void. The task no longer displays in the Task Management window.
Close the Task Management window.
NOTE: The Task Details and the Task Inventory will display the Priority Date to reflect the date the Priority was changed.
