A usable Case Number for a LIEAP applications must contain:
A LIEAP program block
An Appropriate Case Head
NOTE: An Appropriate Case Head is any adult in the household that has signed the LIEAP Application.
NOTE: The Case Head is the person whose name displays in the banner at the top of the page when the user is in the context of a case. A Case Head is the ‘owner’ of the case. A Case Head can never be changed.
To determine if a Case Number is usable for LIEAP:
Are any adult applicants in the home an appropriate Case Head on an existing LIEAP case?
If Yes, use the existing LIEAP case. See Existing Case Registration – LIEAP .
NOTE: If there are multiple usable case numbers, then use the one with the most recent benefit history.
If No, register a new LIEAP case. See New Case Registration - LIEAP .
