The information listed below documents the steps to take when reopening a closed program or discontinued person on a converted case. Hyperlinks are provided to general conversion content when there is any specific information related to reopening a closed program or discontinued person.
Any closed medical case converted over to KEES will not have a worker assigned to the program block.
For LTC programs, the consumer receiving LTC must be the only person in the program block for the EDBC rules to work correctly. If there are other persons in the LTC program block, see Add New Program.
When a record is high-dated and no longer applies the user needs to enter an End Date of the last day the consumer had eligibility. For example, if a case closed 05/31/12, any high-dated record that is no longer applicable would be end dated 05/31/12.
For converted cases the address for the Case Head was converted from KAECSES. Additionally, any consumer receiving medical coverage in MMIS also has a converted address. If the person on the case is not the Case Head and did not have active medical coverage at the time of conversion, no address converted to KEES. See Contact Summary - Family Medical for details on how to add an address.
If a consumer converted without Active medical coverage and the user needs to Rescind or Reapply for the consumer, the record may need "re-verified".
NOTE: The act of saving the page "verifies" the record.
It is not necessary to make changes to the page unless the consumer reports a change in Individual Demographics.
See Post Conversion Cleanup Non-Financial Pages for general conversion information on the rest of the Non-Financial pages when reopening a case:
LTC Data - Review the LTC Data Details page to make sure end dates are present.
Medical Condition - If the consumer did not have Active medical coverage in the MMIS at the time of conversion, no Medical Condition is created.
