Verify the Begin and End Dates defaulted correctly. If needed, enter the correct dates using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.
At initial application, the Begin Date defaults to the application date and the End Date defaults to the current month plus 12. For Example, if processing an application received 09/30/2021 on 10/04/2021, the Begin Date is 09/30/2021 and the End Date is 10/31/2022.
NOTE: For delayed benefits scenarios, extend the End Date if necessary to ensure 12 months of eligibility are allowed. For Example, application received 01/20/2022 requesting benefits begin 05/01/2022, the Begin Date is 01/20/2022 and the adjusted End Date should be 04/30/2023.
For an ongoing case, the Begin Date defaults to the first day of the month following the last active family plan. If the begin date is after the current review period, the End Date defaults to allow for 12 months of benefits. For Example, a review due 06/2021 is received and processed timely (on 06/03/2021), the Begin Date should be 07/01/2021 and the End Date should be 06/30/2022.
NOTE: Family Plans’ date range cannot overlap each other. For example, if a Family Plan has a Begin Date of 01/01/2016 and an End Date of 12/31/2016, an additional Family Plan cannot be created for that time period. If a new Family Plan is needed within that date range, the existing Family Plan’s End Date must be edited and a new Family Plan added.
