Adding a Good Cause Record

  1. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Select Noncustodial Parents from Task Navigation. The Noncustodial Parent List page displays.

  2. Click the Noncustodial Parent hyperlink for which the consumer has been granted Good Cause. The Noncustodial Parent Detail page displays.

  3. Click the Edit button.

  4. Click the Claim Good Cause button at the bottom of the page. The Good Cause Detail page displays.

NOTE: The Noncustodial Parent hyperlink displays based on the record previously selected.

  1. Select Good Cause Granted from the Claim Reason drop-down menu.

NOTE: Journal is utilized to document requests in pending or denied status.

  1. Enter the Claim Date using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.

  2. Do not change the defaulted Worker ID.

  3. Click the Add button. The Good Cause Status Detail page displays.

  4. Select Granted from the Status drop-down menu.

NOTE: The Determination drop-down menu dynamically displays.  A status is required or a pending record is created.

  1. Select the reason(s) in the multi-select Determination field. The values are dependent upon which Status is selected.

  1. Enter the Status Begin Date using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.

  2. Click the Save and Return button. The Good Cause Detail page displays.

  3. Click the Save and Return button. The Good Cause List page displays.

  4. Click the Close button. The Noncustodial Parent List page displays.

  5. Journal the Good Cause Claim Reason.
