Adding a Real Property Record – Non-Medical

Some examples of Real Property include Residential Property, Land, etc.

To Add a Real Property Record:

  1. Access the case through Person Search or enter the Case Number in the quick search field from Task Navigation and click the Go button. The Case Summary page displays.

  2. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Click the + beside Financial from Task Navigation to open the financial data collection pages. Select Resource from Task Navigation. The Resource List page displays.

  3. Select Non-Medical from the Program Type drop-down menu.

  4. Select Real Property from the Resource Category drop-down menu.

  5. Click the Add button. The Real Property Detail page displays.

  6. Select the resource Owner(s) from the drop-down menu. If there are more than two owners, click the Add button.

  7. Enter the percentage of the resource owned by the owner in the Percentage field.

NOTE: For Real Property an owner can own a portion of the property. The total ownership of a Real Property cannot exceed 100%.

  8. Enter the Begin Date of the first day of the first month the resource is to be counted for eligibility, using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.

  9. Select the Real Property Type from the drop-down menu. See KEES Non-Medical Resource Values for more information.

  10. Select a Description value from the drop-down menu. This value is required for EDBC to determine if a resource is exempt or non-exempt. EDBC cannot build a budget if this field is not completed.

  11. Enter the amount still owed on the resource in the Encumbrance field, if known.

NOTE: On the Resource Detail page the field for Encumbrance is not being used by rules to determine the value of the resource. The user should enter the current countable value of the resource in the Value fields. The user entered value is what EDBC uses when determining eligibility.

  12. Enter the current countable value of the resource in the Value field.

  13. Select Yes or No from the Listed for Sale drop-down menu.

  14. Click the radio button for the Property Address or click the Add Address button to enter a new Property Address.

  15. Select a Verified value from the drop-down menu.
