Energy Information

The Energy Information Detail page records Payment, Fuel and Dwelling information used to determine a households eligibility for a LIEAP benefit. This page contains dynamic drop-down menus so additional menus and fields may display depending on values selected.

NOTE: This page utilizes effective dating always Add a new record.  When the new record is saved, effective dating occurs in order to maintain historical data.  

NOTE: Only Edit an Energy Information record to add additional information or correct mistakes.     

NOTE: When the Fuel Bill is included in the rent or in the landlord’s name the LIEAP Payment Options must be Make all my energy benefit payable to my heating vendor.

To Add  Energy Information:

  1. Access the case through Person Search or enter the Case Number in the quick search field from Task Navigation and click the Go button. The Case Summary page displays.

  2. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Click the + beside LIEAP from Task Navigation to open the LIEAP data collection pages. Select Energy Information from Task Navigation. The Energy Information List page displays.

  3. Click the Add button. The Energy Information Detail page displays.

  4. Enter the begin date as the date of the application, using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.

  5. Select the requested LIEAP Payment Options from the drop-down menu.
    NOTE: If the household has the same Vendor for both heating and electric, select Make all of my energy benefit payable to my heating vendor, regardless of what is indicated on the application. This is to prevent the vendor from rejecting part of the payment in error.


    NOTE: If the primary fuel bill is in the landlord's name, the benefit is not able to be split.

  6. In the Fuel and Dwelling section, select the Fuel Bill from the drop-down menu.
    NOTE: Depending on the value selected additional mandatory fields display for completion.

  7. Ensure the Vulnerability drop-down menu is correct. If not select the correct value from the drop-down menu.

  8. Select the Dwelling Type from the drop-down menu.

  9. Select a Subsidized Housing value from the drop-down menu.

  10. Select the Heating system Built in home from the drop-down menu.

  11. Select a value from the System in use drop-down menu.
    NOTE: If No is selected, the Why Not? field displays.

  12. Select the Fuel Type from the drop-down menu.  If the Fuel Type is Other, select an Other Type from the drop-down menu.

  13. Select a value from the Rent/Own drop-down menu. If a client leaves this section blank on a paper application, select Unknown from the drop-down menu.
    NOTE: An application should not be pended because this information is missing.

  14. Click the Save and Return button.

  15. If there was an existing record the Effective Dating Confirmation List page displays.  Verify the Begin and End Dates are correct, then click the Save button. The Energy Information List page displays.

To Edit Energy Information:

  1. Access the case through Person Search or enter the Case Number in the quick search field from Task Navigation and click the Go button. The Case Summary page displays.

  2. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Click the + beside LIEAP from Task Navigation to open the LIEAP data collection pages. Select Energy Information from Task Navigation. The Energy Information List page displays.

  3. Click the Edit button for the appropriate Energy Information record. 

  4. Update or Enter applicable information. 

  5. Click the Save and Return button.

  6. The Energy Information List page displays
