Invalid Match

A NAC match can be marked as an Invalid Match if it is determined that there is no potential for duplicate participation based on the information in the match. This could be because of incorrect client information, potential identity theft, or a system error.

Invalid matches should be rare, so it is crucial to staff with a supervisor before marking the match as invalid.

NOTE: If an invalid match appears to be due to a system error, submit a ticket to the KEES Help Desk.

To Mark an Invalid Match:

  1. Navigate to the Duplicate Participation Match Details page of the match to be updated. See Search for an Existing NAC Match for detailed steps.

  2. In the Match Actions section, select the radio button for Yes under the Invalid Match question. The Invalid Match Reason drop-down menu dynamically displays .

  3. Select the appropriate value from the Invalid Match Reason drop-down menu.

NOTE: Staff should not choose the value Other unless specifically directed to do so. If it is selected, the Other Reason free format text box dynamically displays. It is VERY IMPORTANT that no PII is entered in this text box as the data entered here is not encrypted when sent to the NAC.

  4. Click the Submit to NAC button.
