Money Management

The Money Management page(s) is used record LIEAP vendor information used for LIEAP determinations and view historical vendor payment information.

Accessing Money Management History

  1. Access the case through Person Search or enter the Case Number in the quick search field from Task Navigation and click the Go button. The Case Summary page displays.
  2. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Click the + beside LIEAP from Task Navigation to open the LIEAP data collection pages. Select Money Management from Task Navigation. The Money Management List page displays.
  3. Click the View History button locate in the top right-hand corner of the page. The Money Management History page displays. 
  4. To see a specific date range of history, follow the steps below:
  5. The LIEAP Money Management History displays an historic record of vendor names, priority applicable to EDBC run date, benefit amounts, any overpayments, amount paid to vendor and if the payment was paid to the consumer. 
  6. Click the Close button to return to the Money Management List page.  

To Add a Vendor:

  1. Access the case through Person Search or enter the Case Number in the quick search field from Task Navigation and click the Go button. The Case Summary page displays.

  2. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Click the + beside LIEAP from Task Navigation to open the LIEAP data collection pages. Select Money Management from Task Navigation. The Money Management List page displays.

  3. Click the Add button. The Money Management Detail page displays.

  4. Click the Select button associated to the Vendor Name field. The Select Service and Provider page displays.

  5. Enter the vendor in the Resource Name field. This is the name of the utility vendor except the following two scenarios:

  6. Select the Service Type from the drop-down menu.

  7. Update the Starting Address, including City, State and Zip Code, to the consumer’s address.

  8. Select the Maximum Distance From Address from the drop-down menu, if wanting to search within a smaller range.

  9. Click the Search button. The Select Service and Provider page redisplays with all vendors matching the search criteria.

    NOTE: If the desired vendor is not found, check/update the search criteria and search again. If the desired vendor does not exist in the system contact a LIEAP Site Manager.

  10. Click the radio button for the appropriate vendor. Then click the Select button. The Money Management Detail page re-displays with the information for the vendor populated in the Vendor Name, Vendor Type and Service Type fields.

  11. Select the Priority from the drop-down menu.

    1. 1 = used to indicate the Primary vendor to be paid.

    2. 2 = used to indicate the Secondary vendor; only selected when splitting the benefit.

    3. 3 = used to indicate a vendor that should not receive payment.

    NOTE: There can only be one vendor with a Priority of 1 and one vendor with a Priority of 2 listed on the case at the same time.

  12. Enter the Account Number.

    NOTE: Enter the account number exactly as it appears on the statement.  If preceding zeroes are part of the account number, they MUST be entered in the Account Number field.

  13. Select the Billing Name from the drop-down menu.

  14. Enter the Begin Month of the application month using the <mm/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.

  15. Click the Save and Return button.

  16. If there are additional vendors to be added, click the Save and Add Another button. Once all vendors have been added, click the Save and Return button. The Money Management List page displays.

To End Date a Vendor:

  1. Access the case through Person Search or enter the Case Number in the quick search field from Task Navigation and click the Go button. The Case Summary page displays.

  2. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Click the + beside LIEAP from Task Navigation to open the LIEAP data collection pages. Select Money Management from Task Navigation. The Money Management List page displays.

  3. Click the Edit button for the record. The Money Management Detail page displays.

  4. Select 3 from the Priority drop-down menu.

  5. Enter the End Month using the <mm/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.

  6. Click the Save and Return button. The Money Management List page displays.
