Running a NAC Query

Querying the NAC is when KEES connects to the NAC Website to obtain information on potential duplicate benefit matches from other states. A NAC query can only be run within the context of a case.

The NAC should be queried for clients with a NAC Verified SSN at FA Application, FA Review, and when adding a person to the FA program block.

NOTE: If you feel you need to run a NAC query outside of these situations, contact your supervisor.

NOTE: If a client’s SSN has not yet been verified through one of the SSA interfaces (HUB-SSA or SSA-SVES), set a task to check their SSN Status on the Individual Demographics page in 5 business days to allow time for the interface to verify the information.

To run a NAC Query:

  1. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Select Verification Interfaces from Task Navigation. The Verification Interface List page displays.

  2. Select NAC from the Verification Type drop-down menu.

  3. Select a value from the Set Search Reason for All drop-down menu.

  4. In the Case Member List section, select the checkbox(es) for the client(s) you are running a NAC Query on.

NOTE: A client only displays in the Case Member List if they are a high-dated Pending or Active FA household member with an SSN (NAC verified or unverified). A client does not display in the list if they are Added in Error, Permanently Out of the Home, Hidden, or have no SSN.

  5. Click the Submit NAC Query button.

  6. Results display in the Duplicate Participation Response section.
