A task captures and assigns a need for specific program action to a work queue. Tasks can be created manually by a user or automatically by KEES. They can also be created from within the context of a case or created without an associated case number.
The Contact Log and Manual Task windows are utilized for user generated tasks. The Contact Log is accessed from Utility Navigation. Manual Task windows are accessed via the Add Task button found on the Task Portlet or the Task Management window. Task windows, such as Task Management and Manual Task, do not automatically refresh. A user must exit out of the window and navigate back to the window to verify the updated information.
Tasks can be viewed from the:
Task Portlet: Available on the KEES home page and contains a list of tasks assigned to the user.
Task Inventory page: Available by clicking the View All button from the Task Portlet and allows a user to search for tasks using specific search criteria.
Task Management window: Available by selecting Tasks from Utility Navigation and allows a user to view all tasks related to a specific case.
