Notices of Action (NOAs) are distributed documents assembled from a wide variety of statements, or fragments; they are pre-written and stored in KEES. They are printed locally or centrally and mailed to the consumer to inform them when action is taken on their case. NOAs are generated for all active additional administrative roles on a program.
A NOA is only generated after an EDBC result is saved (if a new application) or the benefit amount issued was different than the previous month. The generated text cannot be edited, however, comments are able to be added in the Append text box within each NOA. This allows up to 2000 characters for additional information. When NOAs have been printed locally or the nightly batch runs to print centrally they may no longer be deleted.
A Form is all other correspondence that is printed or sent to the consumer outside of a NOA. A form is composed of mostly static text with some auto-populated case specific information and/or some user entered data. Forms may also be generated as a blank template with all text entered by the user. Most forms are manually generated from Document Control.
