Shared Living occurs when there are other people living in the TANF home that are not in the Mandatory Filing Unit (MFU) and they are not requesting assistance. There is a different maximum benefit amount for TANF Shared Living households. KEES only requires the Primary Applicant to have the Shared Living indicator in order for the household to be recognized as a TANF Shared Living household.
Access the case through Person Search or enter the Case Number in the quick search field from Task Navigation and click Go. The Case Summary page displays.
Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Select Household Status from Task Navigation. The Household Status List page displays.
Click the Add button. The Household Status Detail page displays.
NOTE: It is important to use the Add button when adding or changing a Household Status to ensure accurate effective dating and to preserve historical records.
Select the Primary Applicant from the Name drop-down menu.
Select In the Home or Temporarily Out of the Home from the Living in the Home Status drop-down menu.
NOTE: If Temporarily Out of the Home is selected the Add Reason drop-down menu dynamically displays. Select the appropriate value from this drop-down menu then enter the Expected Return Date, if known, using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.
Select the check box for TANF Shared Living.
Enter the Begin Date using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.
Click the Save and Return button. If there was an existing record for the consumer the Effective Dating Confirmation List page displays. Verify the Begin and End Dates are correct, then click the Save button. The Household Status List page displays.
