Image KEES Documents with Barcode

Specific documents have barcodes including Non-Medical reviews and forms.

  1. Access Perceptive Content.

  2. Left click the drop-down caret next to the Applications button on the Perceptive Content toolbar.

  3. Set KEES Barcode Document(s) as the default application plan. See Setting Default Application Plan for detailed steps.

  4. Set Package Mode as the default Capture profile. See Setting Default Capture Profile for detailed steps.

  5. Click the Capture button on the Perceptive Content toolbar to initiate the scanning process. The Perceptive Content Viewer - Package window and the Enter Received Date dialog box display.

  6. The date in the Enter Received Date dialog box defaults to the current date and can be manually changed if needed. Click the OK button.

  7. On the Perceptive Content Viewer - Package window, the Document Keys auto-populates with Received Date and Unique ID.

    NOTE: The Received Date auto-populates based on the date entered in the Enter Received Date dialog box. If needed, the user can manually change the received date in the correct format (MM/DD/YYYY) on the Document Keys.

  8. Verify the user can view all document types on the left side of the Perceptive Content Viewer - Package window under Case – Task or Case – No Task.

    NOTE: The displayed list may need to be minimized by clicking the minus sign to the left of KEES Applications then clicking the plus sign to the left of Case – Task or Case – No Task.

  9. Select Barcoded Document or Barcoded Document Expedited as appropriate from the Document Type list.

  10. Load barcoded document(s) and any supporting documents into the scanner.

  11. Click the Capture icon on the bottom of the Perceptive Content Viewer - Package window. The scanner invokes and scans the document(s).

  12. The scanned document(s) images directly into the document type selected and displays in the Perceptive Content Viewer window. Review the images of the documents for clarity.
    NOTE: If document is not readable, see the Image Unreadable steps in Troubleshooting for Imaging.

  13. If supporting documents were submitted with the barcoded document, click the thumbnail image(s) to drag and drop all other documents to their appropriate Case – No Task document type(s) which automatically changes the Document Type on the Document Keys.

  14. Enter any Notes as appropriate.

  15. Verify the accuracy of the Document Keys for each document type.

  16. Click the Submit icon on the bottom of the Perceptive Content Viewer - Package window. The Perceptive Content Viewer window closes.
    NOTE: Once the Barcoded Document and any supporting documents are submitted, the barcode is read. Perceptive Content communicates to KEES and the Case Information (E.g. Case Number, Case Name and Document Type) for that barcode is brought back to Perceptive Content. Perceptive Content re-indexes the barcoded document and the supporting documents to that Case Number. This entire process happens behind the scenes.
