Follow the steps below when a Tax Filer or Dependent who is part of the IBU lives out of the home.
1. Add the Tax Filer and/or Dependent living outside the home as a Case Person.
NOTE:Do not add them to the Program Block.
2. Create a Household Status of ‘Temporarily Out of the Home' or ‘Permanently Out of the Home’ for each Tax Filer and/or Dependent residing outside of the home.
3. Complete all other Non-Financial and Financial Data Collection pages for the Tax Filer and/or Dependents not living in the home. Make sure to:
a. Set Relationships for all persons on the case.
b. Add and verify the Income of the Tax Filer and/or Dependent living outside the home.
NOTE: Their income cannot be verified by interfaces unless a SSN is provided.
4. Run EDBC.
