Work Registration - Non-Medical

The Work Regist. (Work Registration) page is used to record work registration status(es), indicating whether a consumer is mandatory or exempt for Employment Services. Employment Service recipients each get their own Work Programs or Food Assistance Employment & Training (FAET) program block and can share a case number with any other Non-Medical programs other than PPS or LIEAP.

For KEES to properly determine someone is exempt from Work Program, the following exempt status must be indicated on the Work Registration Detail page prior to running EDBC for TANF:

NOTE: Rules determines Work Programs mandatory or exempt status for all other reasons.  Example:  child under 2 months, over 65, receiving Social Security.

This exempt status can be indicated by entering an exemption on the Work Registration page.

NOTE:  Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Treatment program participants are recorded on the Living Arrangements page.

To Enter an Exemption

  1. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Select Work Regist. from Task Navigation.  The Work Registration List page displays.

  2. Click the Add button. The Work Registration Detail page displays.

  3. Select the consumer’s name from the Name drop-down menu.

  4. Select the program Type from the drop-down menu.

  5. Select Exempt from the Registration Status drop-down menu.

  6. Select the exemption reason from the Registration Status Reason drop-down menu.

  7. Enter the application date as the Begin Date using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.

  8. Click the Save and Add Another button to add additional records. Otherwise, click the Save and Return button.

NOTE:  A Pending Work Programs program block is created on the Case Summary page.  Assign this program block to yourself and then Discontinue the program.

To Edit a Work Registration Record to End Date an Exemption

  1. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Select Work Regist. from Task Navigation.  The Work Registration List page displays.

  2. Click the Edit button for the record to be edited. The Work Registration Detail page displays.

  3. Enter the End Date using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.

  4. Click the Save and Return button.

NOTE: If a TANF program is Discontinued while a recipient has a Work Programs program block with a Program Status of Exempt, the Work Programs program block must be Discontinued. See Adding or Updating WP Work Program Status for detailed steps.
