Step 1a Instructions

 

This step occurs when there is a data mismatch; information such as name, date of birth or Alien/USCIS Number doesn’t match what is found in the Hub. Ensure the information provided is accurately entered in KEES and request verification again.

NOTE: The first step in the process below assumes the worker has:

 

  1. Click Verifications from Task Navigation. The Verification List page displays.

  2. Check that the following defaulted values are displaying and correct as needed:

  3. Click Edit next to the INS Document. The Verification Detail page displays in edit mode.

  4. Select Step 1a from the Next Step to Request drop-down.

  5. Click the Save and Return button. The Verification List page displays.

  6. Click the check box next to the INS Document to verify.

  7. Click the Request Verification button; the Real Time Interface History List page displays.

  8. Click Verifications from Task Navigation; the Verification List page redisplays.

  9. Review the results and follow the appropriate action as listed below:

A Verified in Step 1a

  1. Select Verified from the Status drop-down menu.

  2. Click the Search button. The Verification List page refreshes.

  3. Click the caret under Type to refresh the Verification List page.

  4. Click the INS Document hyperlink. The Verification Detail page displays.

  5. Click the View History button. The INS Document Verification Request List page displays.

  6. Click the DHS Case Number hyperlink. The INS Document Verification Request Detail page displays.

  7. Use the Response Data Received to update the Non-Citizenship Data Collection record.

 

B Additional Steps Required 1a

  1. Hover the mouse over the icon.

  2. A message will display.

C Error Calling Hub or VLP Response Received but Verification Detail Pending 1a

  1. Click the INS Document hyperlink. The Verification Detail page displays.

  1. Click the View History button. The INS Document Verification Request List page displays.

  2. Click the DHS Case Number hyperlink. The INS Document Verification Request Detail page displays.

  3. Use the Response Data Received  to update the Non-Citizenship Data Collection page.
