There are five potential interface calls and responses which the Hub-VLP interface can use to verify the Non-Citizenship record. Step 1a, 1b, 2 or 3 is triggered by editing the INS Document Verification record, selecting the appropriate Step from the Next Step to Request Dropdown and Requesting Verification
This is the initial Hub-VLP verification attempt. If the Hub-VLP is not able to verify non-citizenship information in Step 1, additional Steps must be instituted. The next available step is determined by the results of the Step 1 VLP response. See Step 1 for details on how to complete this process.
Information such as name, date of birth or Alien/USCIS Number doesn’t match what is found in the Hub. Agency Action will display Invoke Re-Verification. Ensure the information provided is accurately entered in KEES and request verification again. See Step 1a for details on how to complete this process.
The SEVIS ID incorrect, inactive or missing. Ensure the information provided is accurately entered in KEES. If not, update and request verification again. If there is no change in information, the applicant must contact their school or sponsor to resolve the issue. See Step 1b for information on how to complete this process.
If the Hub-VLP interface is not able to find a match in a prior Step, an Agency Action of InitiateAdditionalVerif will be returned. A Step 2 verification request can take 2-5 days to return a response.

Haitian
Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) victim
To initiate a Step 3 verification, an image of the immigration document must be on file and attached to the request. A Step 3 verification request can take 10-20 days to return a result.
