Data Collection and Data Acceptance – LIEAP

Information entered on the LIEAP Data Collection pages determines the benefit for the LIEAP Program.  These pages are grouped together in Task Navigation when there is a LIEAP program block on the case. Some pages contain records that are shared with Non-Medical and Medical programs.

Navigating to the LIEAP Data Collection pages:

  1. Access the case through Person Search or enter the Case Number in the quick search field from Task Navigation and click the Go button. The Case Summary page displays.
  2. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Click the + beside LIEAP from Task Navigation to open the LIEAP data collection pages.

LIEAP Data Collection Pages:

In addition to the five major LIEAP Data Collection pages, there are times when LIEAP staff may have to take action on the following Non-Financial Data Collection page.

Data Acceptance – LIEAP

LIEAP Applications can be submitted via the DCF Self Service Portal (SSP). LIEAP e-Applications populate consumer information on the data collection pages in KEES and generate a PDF in ImageNow.

Consumers known to KEES that apply for LIEAP (via SSP) might report information that differs from what exist currently in KEES. When differing, or updated information is received from the SSP it is necessary to determine if that data should be accepted or rejected. This is called Data Acceptance.

When there is an existing piece of data in KEES and new information is reported, the word New displays in red to the right of the page in Task Navigation and to the left of the Case Person’s name on the applicable List page. After navigating to the Detail page new data displays with a check box below the existing data. Selecting the check box indicates the user intends to ‘accept’ the new data and leaving the check box blank indicates the user intends to ‘reject’ the new data. Data Acceptance must be completed for the entire page, meaning that all individual data points on the page must be reviewed and accepted or rejected prior to moving on to the next page.

When a LIEAP e-Application is being registered or processed, LIEAP workers should utilize the e-Application Summary page in KEES and the PDF to verify that all the information the consumer provided is entered in the correct fields.

Workers who perform data acceptance need to be very diligent and make sure the data they are accepting makes sense. If something does not make sense the data should be rejected and the user should manually create the correct record. It is important to understand information brand new to KEES will populate on Data Collection pages without displaying the word NEW. All information should be reviewed for accuracy.

LIEAP Applications submitted via the DCF SSP will populate data on the following pages:
