Home > KEES User Manual Introduction > Task Management
A task captures and assigns a need for specific program action to a work queue. Tasks can be created manually by a user or automatically by KEES. They can also be created from within the context of a case or created without an associated case number.
The Contact Log and Manual Task windows are utilized for user generated tasks. The Contact Log is accessed via Utility Navigation. Manual Task windows can be accessed via the Add Task button found on the Task Portlet, or the Add Task button accessed via the Task Management window.
Tasks can be viewed from the:
Task Portlet: Available on the KEES home page and contains a list of tasks assigned to the user.
Task Inventory page: Available by clicking the View All button from the Task Portlet and allows a user to search for tasks using specific search criteria.
Task Management window: Available by clicking on Tasks from Utility Navigation and allows a user to view all tasks related to a specific case.
